Testimony of a detainee tortured by the Egyptian army. She had been arrested on March 9th 2011, during the forced evacuation of Tahrir Place. She was released on March 12th. Blogger Leil-Zahra writes: "Tahrir Square is a suicidal zone for anyone who took part in the revolution, a mere walk down the square can cause detention and the consequent torture routine.
(...)Activists are under threat wherever they go. (...) Not just the activists themselves are in danger, anyone who looks like what came to be stereotyped as a Tahrir Square protester, risks detention or beating. (...)
