Since September 17, protesters have been camping out on Wall Street. On October 2o11, the movement got new support and more attention when Wall Street-critics paralysed Brooklyn Bridge.

"This weekend in New York, several unions and thousands of citizens declared their solidarity with the activists of Occupy Wall Street, who in the past two weeks have braved rain and falling temperatures and continued the occupation of Zuccotti Park, a square in Manhattan's financial district." (Junge Welt)
