Special Exploitation Zones

In summer 2012, a labor struggle occurred at the Chinese electronics supplier Chung Hong in the special economic zone Kobierzyce near Wroclaw/Poland. Chung Hong produces mainboards for monitors and TVs of the South-Korean multinational corporation LG which has a a factory in the same zone. About half of the 200 workers organized a union cell and demanded improved conditions. The management reacted with repression. When a part of the workers started a strike in June 2012, all participants were fired. In the film made by SzumTV and Feminist Think Tank, workers talk about the miserable factory work, their difficult conditions of reproduction, and the strike.
