After the liberalization of the housing market rents in the center of Poznań, Poland, have increased sharply. Many tenants cannot afford the rents anymore and move away.

The landlord of a residential building could not wait for the slow displacement process. He sent construction workers who were supposed to make the house uninhabitable and who harrassed the tenants.

In this film from 2013 tenants and supporters talk about the landlord's actions and their deliberate displacement and that of other tenants in the center of the city.

They describe the dubious role of construction companies as well as the local administration and explain their resistance against housing policies that are following the landlords' profit interests.
