In light of the current struggle at the Peugeot-Citroën factory PSA in Aulnay (France), we are showing a new clip from the film ‘The closing down of the Renault Factory in Vilvoorde’ (Belgium) by Jan Bucquoy.

In the film that was shot in 1998, the workers have been on strike for months against the closure of the car plant in Belgium. However, the union suggests ending the strike. A large minority wants to carry on and feel betrayed. They explain their disappointment to us. Meanwhile the filmmaker tries to find the Renault boss’s flat, Louis Schweitzer, in Paris, so that he can kidnap him and avenge the sacked workers…

The film is midway between a documentary and a thriller.
