Rapper and filmaker Boots Riley explains that we need a new, militant and radical mass labour movement:
"The real step is... showing people that there is a leverage point, and I believe that that leverage point is exploitation. I believe that that leverage point is at the place where we have our power, where we create the wealth as labour, and there needs to be a radical mass militant labour movement. One that, if there is a cop that shoots somebody you shut down the city and nobody makes money until that cop is arrested."
Watch the trailer for his new film "Sorry To Bother You" which launched in the USA on 6th July 2018.
Boots Riley first appeared on labournet.tv in 2011, when he announced the blockade of Oakland's port during the occupy movement: Occupy Oakland Pressconference.
